End of Summer BBQ

BBQ chicken, macaroni salad, hot dogs, burgers, corn on the cob, potato salad, chips, soda and all of the fixins'.... boy, was it good! Joseph's House guests were treated to a BBQ to end the summer. Staff used this opportunity to recognize guests who have secured and been stabilized in their own housing in the community. JHOC former guests shared their stories to inspire current guests and encourage them to ask for help even when they feel as if they have no hope.

Without the help of many local business our BBQ would not have been so successful. Joseph's House would like to thank: Five Guys of Moorestown, J and the barbers at Complete Look, Holiday Inn of Cherry Hill, New Visions, many Camden downtown vendors and the Staff of JHOC for donating to this event. Thank You!

Camden Diocese Day of Service

On September 10th, 15 volunteers served at Joseph's House in celebration of Mother Teresa's canonization. Volunteers weeded, trimmed overgrown plants, cleaned up trash outside and cleaned and organized inside.

Mother Teresa said "Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat." Joseph's House is so thankful to our volunteers who show our guests that they are loved and cared for.
